January 12, 2016 (Fulton, MD) – On January 11th, the Maryland Building Industry Association held their annual installation of officers at The Hotel in Arundel Preserve. Anne Arundel County Executive, Steven R. Schuh presided over the official oath of office as Dave Lunden, president of Timberlake Design Build, was installed as the 2016 president of the association.
The MBIA CEO, Lori Graf, noted that she expects Mr. Lunden to be a consensus builder in the industry. “Dave is very adept at bringing together people from different disciplines and getting them to work together,” she said. Dave’s goals, as he heads into 2016, include raising MBIA’s visibility in the state house, at the county level and in the community. “What is most satisfying is what we collectively do on a daily basis. We create neighborhoods and homes,” said Lunden. “It is my privilege to lead the voice of the industry in the state of Maryland, representing over 1000 firms with over 100,000 employees,” he added. He said also plans to seek ways of engaging all members in the association’s many councils, chapters and committees.
Over the next year, The Maryland Building Industry Association plans to build membership levels, help members build their business through professionalism and networking and to educate the public on the importance of hiring professionals.
